At Mahaska Health A Clinic Nurse is responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Directs and guides patient teaching and aids the physician/nurse practitioner/physician’s assistant in all aspects, while maintaining standards of professional nursing in accordance with the established methods and procedures of Mahaska Health and the Medical Group.

The Home Hospice, Serenity House CNA works under the supervision of a registered nurse and performs various services for a patient as necessary to meet the patient’s personal needs and to promote comfort, quality, continuity and safety of a patient’s care. The primary function of the Surgical Services Nursing Assistant / Central Service Technician is to assist the Registered Nurse in giving direct nursing care to the surgical patient and functions independently to disinfect and achieve sterilization of supplies and equipment.

The primary function of the Certified Operating Room Technician (CORT) is as a scrub technician, the sterile member of the surgical team who passes instruments, sutures, and sponges during a surgical procedure. The performance of these functions should be according to the experience and scope of the educational preparation of the individual technician and applicable to legal guidelines.   There will be on-call requirements for this position. Must be able to respond within 20 minutes while on call.
