The Director of Human Resources has overall responsibility for the day-to-day human resources functions of the recruitment, training, salary and benefits administration at Mahaska Health Partnership. Also, contributes to overall company strategy and policy making by advising executive team on the human resource implications of its decisions.
The Scheduler is responsible for maintaining effective patient appointment scheduling processes to meet patient and provider needs in the MHP Medical Group.
The Registration Receptionist is responsible for the registration of patients, including patient interviews, updating information in hospital/clinic computer, obtaining consent and information accuracy. Registration will handle routine patient inquiries and will work closely with all MHP departments and provider offices. The hospital registration personnel will also be responsible for all functions of the switchboard and the alarm systems.
The cook is responsible for preparation and service of food items needed for meals served to hospital patients, guests and employees.
The Radiologic Technologist provides patient care and technical skill in the operation of
diagnostic radiographic equipment for diagnostic and evaluation purposes.
Responsible for leading Mahaska Health projects, project teams and managing all activities in a project lifecycle, including initial planning, executing, and closing.
The Laboratory Assistant supports the laboratory by collecting and processing
specimens. The Laboratory Assistant also performs specified waived and moderate
complexity testing as trained and successfully demonstrating competency.
The AP Clerk is responsible for managing the preparation, distribution and
reporting process for payroll.
The medical secretary is responsible for providing clerical support to the Medical Group providers and nursing staff.
Provide a clean, sterile environment in all areas of the hospital and clinics.
The House Supervisor is accountable for all of Nursing Services and Emergency Services
for their shift by providing continuity in decision making and quality excellence in nursing
practice to ultimately assure safe, competent, patient care. The House Supervisor is
authorized to act in the absence of the Director of Nursing utilizing executive assistance
when warranted.

The Financial Counselor serves as a link between our patients and their funding
options by providing patients options for meeting their financial responsibility
for payment of their hospital bills, including but not limited to Medical
Assistance.
Massage therapists treat clients by using touch to manipulate the soft-tissue muscles of
the body. With their touch, therapists relieve pain, help rehabilitate injuries, improve
circulation, relieve stress, increase relaxation, and aid in the general wellness of clients.
A Registered Nurse is responsible for delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Coordinates patient education and activities of interdisciplinary personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing in accordance with the established methods and procedures of Mahaska Health Partnership.
A Certified Respiratory Therapist is responsible for delivering various therapy modalities
to patients as ordered by provider or based on an approved protocol for the
administration of oxygen, aerosol, or bronchodilator drugs in accordance with the
established methods and procedures of Mahaska Health Partnership.
The role of the information technology staff is to ensure the stable operations and usage of MHP technologies, including software applications, hardware and network infrastructure.

Partnership and the Medical Group.
The Home Hospice & Serenity House CNA works under the supervision
of a registered nurse and performs various services for a patient as necessary to meet
the patient’s personal needs and to promote comfort, quality, continuity and safety
of a patient’s care. They are responsible for observing the patient, reporting these
observations and documenting observations and care performed.
The Grant Writer is responsible for identifying, researching, preparation of proposals, grant applications, and follow up reporting. Conducts research on grants available to support proposed, current, and ongoing projects.

The primary role of the Care Coordinator is to provide high quality, holistic
healthcare to patients with multiple chronic and preventive conditions (high risk
patients) through a patient-centered approach to improve their lives.
The Social Worker provides social work services for patients and their families.
Administers basic and advanced life support care to sick and injured persons in the pre-hospital setting under direction of Emergency Department Physician/EMS Medical Director consistent with state and local protocols. Performs continuation of care and observation during inter-facility patient transfers per direction of responsible physician.
The Hospice Supervisor has accountability for the Hospice staff who are accountable for patient care during their shift

Performs a variety of secretarial and customer service duties for cancer services at Mahaska Health. Ensures Oncology patients are greeted professionally and warmly and receive outstanding service. Coordinates complex scheduling with a variety of ancillary services, lab, radiology, etc. in a timely and accurate manner. Provides check in and check out for patients and coordinates all follow up appointments and referrals.
This registered nurse provides care for terminally ill patients. They work with patients, their families and other healthcare professionals during the final stages of life.
The staff licensed occupational therapist evaluates, examines, treats, monitors and provides ongoing assessment of patients/clients; performs all necessary paperwork/reports; plans and develops new programs; maintains communication with patients/clients; patient/client family, caregiver and physician/providers; presents in-services; assists in general management of the department; supervises therapy assistants and support staff; and other diverse duties as requested or required.
