Provide an adequate, clean and constant supply of linen to all users.
Pick-up, receive and sorts cloths and linens according to fiber, color, and soiled condition.
Operates washers and dryers in accordance with safety standards.
Supplies recommended quantities of detergents.
Folds and places clean linens in the proper area on carts and in linen closets.
Must be able to perform the physical demands of the job.
Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
Wear proper PPE (personal protective equipment) when performing job duties.
Ability to read and understand SDS sheets.
Ability to handle hazardous material.
Demonstrates proper precautions and procedures of infections, electrical, steam and chemical hazards, heavy dust, environmental and disinfectant solutions.
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Ability to follow directions and understand the importance of cleanliness and sanitation of institutional and environmental cleaning/laundry.
Required to show proof of having completed Mandatory Reporter course at time of hire or attend within 6 months of start date.
